Another month flew by and we are now in March 2015. Last month police presence was quite noticeable. This month? It was at the highest level I have seen since I started shooting Cars and Coffee videos. I asked the staff about it and they informed me that they had arranged it.
Why? It is quite simple. When there is no enforcement people literally go well beyond their limits because they know folks are watching (and probably filming). Most of you have seen the December mustang crash I filmed, and that is one of the reasons why there is a need for law enforcement. To keep a lid on things, to keep people from going too far.
One thing that is synonym with the amount of enforcement is the amount of acceleration videos I capture. And this month, there weren't nearly as much. But it was another month for firsts, but this time in the form of a person. I got to meet a YouTube famous motovlogger that goes by Jake the garden Snake. All I got for proof are the signature wheelies when he and his group he dubbed "the Gnome Nation" left.
Perhaps in the months that follow police presence will dwindle again, allowing for some spirited driving and riding across the board. No matter what happens in front of my camera, I will capture it. But I hope people will start to tone it down just a little when police presence dwindles so we can find a happy medium. If you bust your ass or loose control in the slightest they have a reason to come back next month. Some acceleration, maybe a little unintentional wheel spin, but no antics that would show the need for enforcement to the same level I have seen this month.
See you on the flip side!

Nice video as always! I should have my pics up tonight or tomorrow with the pics from Cowtown Cars and Coffee I just got home from taking.
I remember at least 3 or 4 times the police pulled someone over, and it was kinda funny but still, not acceptable. I agree, people definitely need to tone it down a bit. All in all, not a bad show, but nothing like February

The best one imho is still December. It had the mustang crash yes (which I kept separate for a reason), but the acceleration clips in that video are just godly! I can't wait for your pictures! Drop me a link when they are up!

Too bad I couldn't go to December......
My favorite leaving clip was when some 458's, the TheFerrari, 2 Lambos, a Viper, a GT, and a couple others all left together in February. GOSH, those were some good sounds! Unfortunately I got the vid on my phone and it's too long to upload. Maybe I can mess with it and get it up...
Will do!

I couldn't believe how soon that place empties out, especially on a day with decent weather...
And I'm betting that the cops will be back in full force next month As I was leaving, I saw a wrecker loading up a white Pontiac G8 GXP that had very obviously lost it and smashed up the front end pretty bad along with the front and rear suspension (I'm betting he spun and hopped a curb). I haven't been able to find pics or video of the incident but something definitely happened.
Anyways, nice video!

Cool video! It was a lackluster show though compared to previous months. Probably due to the recent weather and the dealership being unable to move the cars onto the grass. I'm not sure I even will post my pictures. I don't mind the police presence, it keeps everyone a little bit safer and allows the event to continue.
I am already looking forward to next month and the Dallas Auto Show!

Awesome, this is the first time watching one of these, the best in the video was the second Prelude.
Where in the Netherlands are you from?

Well, that day was doomed from the get go. Once the host puts out the word that there is limited parking due to the cars not being able to park on the surrounding grass a lot of people tend to stay home.
And I did not hear about that GXP at all. Sad news, those are pretty rare.

I might go to the dallas auto show actually. And as always I too am looking forward to next month's cars and coffee. Unless something urgent comes up I will be there every month if I can help it!

The correct wording would be "where in the Netherlands where you from?"
I left the province of Utrecht to live in the USA to marry my then girlfriend in 2006. Long time ago. Have been a legal resident alien of the great state of Texas since that time!

true, although it's been that way the other few times I've gone out there in months past.
